What winter storage options do you offer?
We provide two excellent winter storage solutions at Acali Place Marina. Our premium indoor storage features 30,000 sq ft of radiant heated space, perfect for protecting your investment during harsh Canadian winters. For more budget-conscious boat owners, we also offer 4 acres of secure outdoor winter storage. Both options include our specialized winterizing service that protects engines, generators, and AC systems without the hassle of draining blocks or removing plugs and hoses.
How do I know which storage option is right for my boat?
The choice depends on your boat’s value, age, and your budget. Our indoor heated storage is ideal for classic boats, newer vessels, or boats with sensitive electronics and interiors. Outdoor storage works well for hardy fiberglass boats that can handle temperature fluctuations. Our team can assess your specific boat and recommend the best option during a consultation.
When should I book winter storage?
We recommend booking by early fall, as our storage fills up quickly due to our reputation for quality care. Our 150+ existing clients often rebook annually, so availability can be limited for new customers.

What’s included with your summer dock rental?
Each of our 85 docks comes fully equipped with water and electrical power connections. You’ll also enjoy convenient parking directly behind your dock – no long walks with gear! Plus, our guests love the grassy picnic area with tables and fire pits, perfect for evening gatherings after a day on the Detroit River.
What size boats can you accommodate?
Our marine travel lifts can handle boats up to 40 tons and 20 tons respectively, and our hydraulic marine trailer accommodates vessels up to 50,000 lbs. This means we can easily handle boats in the 30-50 ft range that many of our clients prefer.
Do you offer any amenities beyond basic docking?
Absolutely! Our blockhouse facility includes clean washrooms, hot showers, and convenient soda and ice machines. We also provide on-site pump-out service, so you don’t need to leave the marina for basic needs.

We’re a full-service marina offering everything from routine maintenance to complete engine and systems rebuilds. As certified marine mat fabricators and installers, and members of both Boating Ontario and the American Boat and Yacht Council, we maintain the highest industry standards in all our work.

Classic boats are our passion! As wood boat owners ourselves, we’re dedicated to helping preserve these beautiful vessels for the next generation. We have the expertise and patience required for restoration work that many other marinas won’t tackle.
