This Old Boathouse takes pride in restoring classic vessels; we cover it all from small cosmetic work to hull repair and refinishing to full restoration. This Old Boathouse’s goal is to bring new life to old vessels to make them once more seaworthy because we believe that every vessel has a story.
Each wooden boat project comes with its own set of challenges and obstacles, and as such, we approach each one uniquely with careful strategy, patience, attention to detail, and a passion for the classics.
Located within Acali Place Marina on the Detroit River, this old Boathouse has access to all of the necessary resources, such as tools, equipment, and skilled tradesmen and women, to take a wooden vessel from dysfunction when a project is brought to us, to flourishing once the restoration is complete.
